i really wanted to get this out sooner but there was a lot more to this version and it ended up needing much more testing and amending. thankfully i think i've definitely achieved a wonderful version of the game i feel deeply proud of, moreso than before! here are the changes:

• there's a save system nowwww
• if you play the game through twice, you can get a secret (true) ending!
• there is a new segment in chapter 4, featuring a poem by my friend maggey
• it'll make you cry
• maps have been polished further
• most items have been given much nicer 3d rendered icons
• the bug where inventory icons are dark has been fixed
• there is now a small alert when items are gained
• the car controls have been improved
• more environmental details
• a lot of other smaller things that i can't remember right now
